Jesus Taxi

Jesus Taxi

Jesus Taxi started as a result of an encounter with a homeless man after serving Lamb’s Lunch. Learning ABOUT his situation, Tucker Roth felt called to get more involved. He discovered BOHO (Boulder Outreach for Homeless Overflow) and realized that many of the homeless did not have transportation to and from the overflow facilities, walking as far as seven miles each way just to have a warm place to spend the night. Tucker organized a team of volunteers to provide rides to the facilities on Saturday evenings, and back into Boulder on Sunday mornings.

Over time, the ministry expanded as Rock Creek Church offered its facility as an overflow shelter for the homeless. Teams of volunteers now prepare the church facility on Saturday evenings, shuttle homeless individuals from Boulder to Rock Creek Church, and then serve breakfast and shuttle the individuals back to Boulder on Sunday mornings before and after the church service they attend.
